WE HAD A BLAST !

Our first Bring-a-Friend to Six Flags trip! The weather was perfect - until it got chilly when the sun went down! We had fun hanging upside down and just chilling in the park with friends! The best part about the day was that there were virtually no lines to wait on! All of the rides were pretty quick on and off!

We started our day helping to get the gym set up for the Bazaar on Saturday, then voted on Taco Bell for Lunch - wow 24 Tacos didn't stand a chance against these teens! Finally we were off to Six Flags, where we spent about 6 hours hopping on and off of rides, having fun just goofing off and being teens! We left the park an hour ahead of schedule and stopped for pizza at the Pizzeria (what a unique name for a pizzeria our teens pointed out). Two pies later (did we mention these teens have tremendous appetites?!?!) Finally, we were on our way home.

While we did not take pics of everything we did, here is a recap of the 6 short hours we were at the park (trying to recall the order we went in):

  • The Joker
  • De-Ja-Vu
  • Batman
  • Nitro
  • Skull Mountain
  • Houdini's Great Escape
  • Twister
  • Superman
  • El Toro
  • El Diablo
  • Tango
  • Tea Cups
  • The Carousel (what is a trip to Six Flags without ending the night on the Carousel!!!)

While we desperately wanted to go on The Green Lantern and Bizarro, they were closed. As soon as we got on line for King Da Ka it closed :-( Sad we couldn't hit EVERY ride in the park, it is safe to say we were satisfied overall with how the day turned out!

NOTE TO PARENTS: We want to let you know, if you are on Facebook, we do have a fairly public Facebook Account, YouthGroup Saint Catherine (friend us if you haven't already). This is used to allow the community to know that we exist, and share in a general manner some of the fun events we have to encourage other local teens to join our group. We are careful with what we post on Facebook and take safety, privacy, and security very seriously. Additionally, we are selective in any photos made public, and do our best to always keep them anonymous without any labeling first or last names. Seldom will you see individual photos of the teens, however, such as in the case today we may post generic photos with updates so you can keep tabs on the fun we are having while your teens are under our supervision, we recognize that it is a privilege to work with your teens and we are honored to be part of their lives.

As always, THANK YOU for your support and dedication to our Youth Group!
